Objectives
Students will understand cultural exchanges
connected with tea within and between China,
Korea, and Japan.
Students will be able to analyze the
cross-cultural influences between these East
Asian cultures (China, Korea, Japan).
Students will understand where and when each
of the ceramic works at the DIA were made and
how this influenced production and trade.
Art students will be able to interpret and
emulate examples of East Asian Art using
knowledge of the history and social conditions
of each historical period.

Standard V.1 Information Processing
All students will acquire information from
books, maps, newspapers, data sets, and other
sources; organize and present the information in
maps, graphs, charts, and time lines, interpret
the meaning and significance of information, and
use a variety of electronic technologies to
assist in accessing and managing information.
Benchmark HS.1
Locate information pertaining to a specific
social science topic in-depth using a variety of
sources and electronic technologies.
